Connection

Creating inter-cultural partnerships for communities to benefit from and share supplies, equipment, expertise and knowledge through sister city connections and exchange programs. These partnerships will happen between the United States, and East African countries including Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and South Sudan.

Sister-Cities: Portland, Maine & Garissa, Kenya

Our first sister-city connect became official on November 13th, 2023 when Portland City Counsel approved our request at their townhall meeting.
